Compress images before creating a PDF
Many large PDFs are large because they contain oversized images. If you are building a PDF from photos or scans, compress and resize those images first, then create the PDF.

Resize images to the page need
A receipt or simple document image usually does not need full camera resolution. Smaller dimensions can make the final PDF easier to email while still readable.
